Hey Fam! It's such a pleasure to have you here!!!!!!!
Over the course of my 12-year corporate experience, I have observed a dearth of great Team Leaders in the workplace. This dearth is reinforced when I interact with family, friends and acquaintances who are also in the corporate world. This is so sad and it breaks my heart.
I see Team Leaders who are so task-focused that they see (and treat) team members as tools instead of humans. I see others who are so people-focused that they are unable to strike a balance between people-pleasing and delivering on tasks.
My Team Management/ Leadership Academy (and this blog, by extension) seeks to bridge this widening gap, by equipping Team Leaders like you with the knowledge, skills and habits required to have motivated, happy and high-performing teams.
The fact that you're reading this is proof that you really are interested in evolving into a better Team Leader. And I celebrate you for that!
Say after me - "I can build teams that are motivated AND happy AND high-performing". You may have to say this multiple times to ensure that it sinks into your heart.
I know that you can do this, because leadership is a skill that can be learned.
